Geneva’s most consequential auction week of 2026 moves into its final stretch on Sunday morning. Phillips Geneva Watch Auction XXIV brought the week’s highest-estimate lots to the floor at the Hotel President Wilson on Saturday afternoon—the Patek Philippe Ref. 1436 in stainless steel, Cartier’s one-off Portico No. 4, and an F.P. Journe Chrônometre à Résonance “Régence” that felt unusually apt given the GPHG ceremony across town that same evening. Hammer prices have not yet reached Phillips’ results page as of this dispatch; they are expected shortly. Meanwhile, 332 more lots await across Session II this afternoon and Christie’s on Monday—here is what still matters.
Session I: What Went Under the Hammer Saturday
The marquee lots of XXIV are sold. The Patek Philippe Ref. 1436 in stainless steel—one of only two known in that configuration, with a pre-sale estimate of CHF 2,000,000–4,000,000—led a session whose top five lots carried a combined estimate of CHF 7M-plus. The Cartier Portico No. 4, a unique one-off piece at CHF 1,800,000–3,200,000, sat alongside historically significant provenance pieces that this sale has collected across its build-up. The Pucci Papaleo Daytona collection—“Mr. Daytona” selling his life’s work—and the Rolex Stelline Ref. 6062 in yellow gold (CHF 600,000–1,200,000) completed the session’s most-watched lots. Results will be posted to this piece once Phillips publishes; the auction overview is live at phillips.com.
Session II This Afternoon (Lots 108–221, 14:00 CET)
The second session of XXIV runs at 14:00 CET in the same Hotel President Wilson room and continues with 114 lots covering the auction’s broader range. Session II carries the backbone of a typical Phillips Geneva week: strong Patek Philippe references across the mid-tier, Rolex sport and vintage pieces from the 1960s through 1980s, and a selection from independent makers. That last category carries extra weight today: the GPHG ceremony concluded Saturday evening and winners were confirmed overnight—any F.P. Journe, Voutilainen, or Akrivia lot from lot 108 onwards should attract competition from buyers whose price ceiling shifted after the category announcements. Online-only bidders can register and bid live at phillips.com/watches; phone bidding is available through the sale contacts listed on the lot pages.
Eight Watches Across Both Sessions
These are the lots that set the tone for the week—four from Saturday’s session whose results are still outstanding, four from Christie’s Monday catalogue. All estimates are pre-sale figures as published by the respective auction houses and are in CHF before buyer’s premium. Estimates dated November 2026.

Christie’s Monday: The Final 218 Lots
Christie’s Rare Watches takes the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues on Monday 9 November at 12:30 CET. At 218 lots—39 by independent makers and seven unique pieces—it is the most independent-heavy single session in Geneva this November. The full catalogue breakdown is covered in our preview; these are the three watches that could define the session:
The Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 3700/1 “Khanjar” in yellow gold (CHF 500,000–1,000,000) is one of only five known examples with the applied Omani khanjar crest on the dial. This particular watch was made in 1978 for Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said and reached Christie’s through a close associate of his household—the kind of provenance that tends to push a result well beyond its upper estimate. The F.P. Journe Vagabondage I, II, and III (CHF 400,000–800,000 each) come from the same private collection with consecutive reference numbers—a trilogy offering that is a once-in-a-decade occurrence on the auction circuit; the Schumacher F.P. Journe ruthenium set in the same catalogue pushes Christie’s independent maker count even higher. The Voutilainen Vingt-8 SC with an onyx dial (CHF 300,000–500,000) is a unique commission whose post-GPHG overnight context could move bidding toward the top of its range.
Twenty-one charity lots benefit ELA, the European Leukodystrophy Association, running alongside the main session. Preview hours Saturday were 10:00–15:00; the room opens from 10:00 Monday morning.
How to Follow the Final Sessions
Both sessions are live-streamed from their respective rooms. The full week schedule, including online bidding registration windows and phone-bid cutoff times, is on our session guide. Session I results are expected once Phillips closes their posting period, typically within 24–48 hours of a session. Week totals and sell-through rates across all four houses—Phillips, Sotheby’s, Christie’s, and Antiquorum—will be compiled once Christie’s Monday closes. Phillips Hong Kong Watch Auction XXIII follows on 21–22 November; the Geneva results will set the floor for that session’s most comparable lots.

The Ref. 1436 is Patek Philippe’s split-seconds chronograph from the 1940s and 1950s, made in very limited numbers. The stainless steel version is exceedingly rare—two are known. The example at Phillips XXIV carries a pre-sale estimate of CHF 2,000,000–4,000,000.
It is a Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 3700/1 in yellow gold with an applied khanjar (Omani curved dagger) on the dial, made in 1978 for Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. One of five known examples with this motif, with a pre-sale estimate of CHF 500,000–1,000,000 at Christie’s Geneva, Monday 9 November.
