This page explains how The Watchology produces its articles and how the site makes money. We would rather you know exactly how we work than wonder.
How we research and write
Every guide starts from primary sources: the brand’s own specifications and press material, authorised-dealer pricing, auction results and our own experience handling and owning watches. We use AI tools to help gather and organise that research and to draft first versions; a human editor checks specifications, reference numbers and prices before anything is published, and again when an article is updated. Prices are dated in the text so you can tell how current they are.
We do not accept payment for reviews, rankings or placements, and brands do not see articles before they are published. When we compare two watches, the verdict is ours.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon as part of the Amazon Associates programme. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change which watches we recommend or how we rank them, and they are marked as sponsored in the page code. We may also run advertising or sponsorship in the newsletter; sponsored placements are labelled as such.
Corrections
Watches change, prices move and we make mistakes. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it and note the update on the article.
